BLAH! That would be your first reaction if you’re an Apple or HTC user! But it’s true! Life is not so simple for other Android users whose smartphones don’t automatically sync the Facebook Events Calendar on their devices!
What? You’re one of them? Common, don’t be shy! Because if you are, then we have a solution to your plight! Today at iGyaan, we tell you how you can transfer your Facebook Events to Google calendar and eventually view them on your mobile device as well!
- Open Facebook (Duh!)
- Click the Facebook Events Tab which you see on your left, as the window opens, click on settings icon next to the ‘today’ tab.As you click on the icon, you’ll notice a drop down menu, select ‘Export’.
- As you click on ‘Export’, a menu will appear asking you to transfer friends birthdays or upcoming events to Apple iCal, Microsoft Outlook or Google Calender.
- Then, right click on either the birthday’s or events, whichever you want to transfer and then, copy the link address.
- Next, open your Gmail account and then, select Calender which you can see on the top.
- As the tab opens, you’ll see an option to add other calenders on your left and upon clicking, you’ll notice a drop down menu. Click on ‘Add by URL’.
- Now paste the URL you copied from Facebook Events as shown and then, click Add URL.
- Voila! Did you see that? Your events from Facebook are now showing in Google calender! Once you log into your Gmail account through your Android device, the calender on your phone will also, automatically sync with Gmail and the events would be shown there as well!
